Getting Around and About
Walking in Yorkshire doesn’t always have to involve mountains, valleys and breathtaking scenery, although there is that on offer! Our cities and towns can be just as exciting. With the right guide you can uncover Yorkshire’s unique history. So get those walking boots on and start exploring our urban delights. And the best bit is, if it starts raining you’re never too far from a warm and welcoming pub to shelter in. There’s walks to suit everyone!
In reception you will find walking maps and york mini guides to assist you on your journey!
As one of the fastest ways to travel for short urban trips, cycling is proven to save you time as well as money on your journeys in and around the city.
It is a great way to stay active and healthy too! Just outside the park entrance you can jump on an official marked route to York.
