How far is the park from York?
Approximately three miles in the car.
When does your site open?
We’re open from 1st March to 31st October.
Can we bring dogs?
Yes, but please keep your dog on a lead at all times. We just ask that you let us know at the time of booking.
Do you take groups?
Yes but at the owner/manager’s discretion.
Do you have a shop?
Yes mainly basic camping essentials, such as bread, eggs and milk etc.
Do you sell gas?
Yes, Calor and Camping Gaz.
Can we have an open fire in a fire pit or fire bowl?
No, open fires of any kind are not allowed onsite
Are we allowed to put up a gazebo?
Gazebos are at the managers discretion, please ask at the time of booking
Tents & Tourers
What size are your touring pitches?
Approximately 10 metres across.
What time do we arrive and depart from our touring pitch?
Arrival from 1pm and departure by 12 noon.
Can we park our car next to our unit?
You can park your car on your pitch, if you have an extra car it must be parked in the car park.
Is there a minimum number of nights we can book for a Bank Holiday?
No it all depends on what is available for the dates you require.
Do you have hardstanding pitches?
At this stage we do not have hardstanding pitches, however we will have hardstands in 2015. All our pitches are currently laid to grass.
Do you have seasonal pitches?
Yes, we are now taking deposits for seasonal pitches.
Are we allowed to have BBQs on our pitch?
The use of raised barbecues is permitted. BBQ stands can be hired from reception.
Do I need to pay a deposit to make a booking.
Yes, a £25 deposit per touring pitch is required to confirm a booking. NB The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to arrival. If less then two weeks the full balance would need to be paid upon the the time of booking, this can be paid by card. Deposits are generally non-returnable, but can be transferred to a later date at our discretion.
